Strathmore Silhouette's Competition Results

The competitive season is underway! This weekend we had three girls start their competitions off with trials to the Alberta Winter Games. Despite the nerves and the fact that our two younger competitors had to perform their beam and vault at a higher height than they were used to, it was a great start to the year! Congratulations Jordann Mackay for making it to the Alberta Winter games, which will be held February 4-7, 2010 in Cold Lake, Alberta!

Victoria Pedersen -- this was Victoria's first competition, and she did very well. As it was a "fun meet", the scoring was different and the kids each got adjudicated, rather than scored, and comments were given. Great job, Victoria
Feb 4-7, 2010 Alberta Winter Games -- Cold Lake, AB
Congratulations to Jordann Mackay, who represented Strathmore in zone 2 at the Games. Jordann had an amazing first day of competition, placing 4th of floor (out of 32 kids) and in the top 8 on beam. This qualified her to compete the following day in event finals, where she placed 8th on floor, and 7th on beam. Great job Jordann, we're all very proud of you!
